If you're drawn to Montenegro—or if you're just passing through on your way south—we're always happy to welcome you at Kuća Oleander in Krimovice!
Kuća Oleander is situated in Krimovica, a small and peaceful village in the Grbalj Valley, between Budva and Kotor. Its location brings together two very different sides of Montenegro: the Adriatic coast, with its beaches, historic towns and lively seaside resorts, and the quiet, unspoilt character of the rural countryside.

Just a few minutes by car from Kuća Oleander are some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. The long sandy stretch of Jaz Beach is one of Montenegro’s best-known beaches, offering plenty of space, clear water and an impressive natural setting. A little smaller and more sheltered, Trsteno Beach is especially popular with families, thanks to its beautiful turquoise waters. Plaža Ploče is known for its crystal-clear water, natural swimming pools and opportunities for swimming, snorkelling and diving. With restaurants and bars nearby, it is an ideal place to spend a relaxed day by the sea.

For those who would like to experience the Mediterranean atmosphere of Montenegro’s coast, the historic town of Kotor is also within easy reach. The narrow streets of the Old Town, small squares, centuries-old stone walls and welcoming cafés invite you to simply wander and take your time. The entire Bay of Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of Europe’s most impressive cultural landscapes.
Budva is equally easy to reach. Its Venetian-style Old Town, seaside promenade, numerous restaurants and varied cultural life make it a wonderful destination for a day or evening out. And when things become a little livelier there, it is always a pleasure to return to Krimovica – to the peace and relaxed atmosphere of Kuća Oleander.

But Montenegro is not only about the sea. The surrounding countryside offers numerous opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and exploring at your own pace. Lovćen National Park opens up spectacular views across the Bay of Kotor, the Adriatic coast and the rugged Montenegrin mountains. Particularly impressive is the historic serpentine road climbing from Kotor towards Lovćen – one of the country’s most beautiful panoramic routes and a favourite with drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists and photographers.

For those who would like to discover more of Montenegro, Kuća Oleander also makes a convenient base for longer day trips. Lake Skadar, with its wide open waters, remarkable birdlife and traditional fishing villages, reveals an entirely different side of the country. Further inland, the mountains of Durmitor National Park offer deep canyons, crystal-clear mountain lakes and landscapes that could hardly be more different from the Mediterranean coast.
It is precisely this diversity that makes Montenegro so special. Within a surprisingly small country, the sea and the mountains, Mediterranean towns and traditional villages, peaceful landscapes and lively coastal resorts are all remarkably close to one another.
There is plenty to discover here for food lovers, too. Small family-run konobas, traditional fish restaurants and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine offer many opportunities to explore the flavours of the region. Fresh fish and seafood are naturally part of the local cuisine, alongside olive oil, cheese, air-dried ham and Montenegro’s own wines. And often, it is the warm and uncomplicated hospitality that remains one of the fondest memories of a meal.
Whether you are looking for relaxing days by the sea, cultural discoveries, walks in the mountains, scenic drives or simply a good meal surrounded by beautiful countryside, Kuća Oleander is a peaceful base from which to discover the many different sides of Montenegro.
