We are Eliza Reinhild. and Jan H. Schaa – a couple who have been sharing life’s journey for more than twenty years.

Over the years, we built a successful osteopathic practice, founded a company dedicated to horse coaching and personal development, and lovingly restored an old farmhouse near Lake Constance in southern Germany. In short, we have always followed our passions and put our hearts into whatever we chose to do.

Around 2020, however, a feeling began to grow within us: perhaps it was time for a change...

So, We did not find Montenegro - Montenegro found us.

What began as a holiday became something much more. We encountered a country that welcomed us, and people whose warmth and openness touched us deeply. Somehow, many things here suddenly felt alive, natural and right.

Our decision to move to Montenegro was not the result of a carefully calculated plan. It simply unfolded. We only had to follow where life was leading us.

Today, we are fortunate to call Krimovica our home. We found a small house here, lovingly renovated and gradually extended it with the help of many wonderful people – craftsmen, neighbours, friends and everyone who contributed their skills and enthusiasm along the way.

What began as a new home for ourselves has gradually become something more: a place where we can welcome people who appreciate peace, warmth and a lovingly cared-for environment.

Perhaps this is something we have always been good at: bringing people together and creating spaces where something new can happen.

With Kuća Oleander, we would like to offer our guests more than simply a place to stay. It can be a starting point for discovering Montenegro, a peaceful retreat for rest and renewal, or simply a place to pause and breathe for a while. And, for those who wish, a place to combine their time in Montenegro with osteopathic treatments and complementary therapies.

Despite all the work that comes with creating and running a place like Kuća Oleander, we enjoy being here every day. We love walking along the coast, exploring the mountains, discovering another beautiful place, sharing a meal with friends – or simply sitting beneath the olive trees and watching the day unfold.
